Ayurveda month commences from June 15

The Western Province Ayurvedic Department has announced a "Month of Ayurveda" from June 15, said Western Province Ayurvedic Commissioner Nimal Karunasiri. As this is the year of Ayurveda we announce this month as the "Month of Ayurveda". He also said the Western Province Ayurvedic Department has already started Suwa Pasa program to help traditional Ayurveda practitioners in the Western province.

We will establish garden hospitals in every district in the Province. We have already started a special treatment unit at Lunawa Ayurvedic hospital to remove stones in gallbladder without surgery.

Also we have started Raktha Mokshana Chikithsa at Lunawa Hospital, said the Commissioner.
