Minister orders to repair CCTV system

Post and Telecommunication Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga has ordered Postmaster General M.K.B. Dissanayake to repair the Closed-Circuit Television system (CCTV) at the Central Mail Exchange Complex, Colombo soon following the report in the Daily News Tuesday.

The Daily News reported that the CCTV system has been out of order for a long period as a result of alleged vandalism by certain employees.

Following the Daily News report, Minister Kumaratunga instructed Post and Telecommunication Ministry officials to look into issues related to the CCTV system. The Minister has advised the authorities to repair the CCTV system immediately.
