Undergrads get marks for exams they didn't sit

Eight students who did not sit the semester exam at the Trincomalee Campus of the Eastern University have been issued marks by the Exams Division. This had happened to second year students who sat for the Communication Subject, Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake said during a discussion with University officials yesterday. "Those who did not sit the exam have obtained A and B passes. These eight students are closely associated with the Student Council," members said.

The Minister warned Administration members and said both should work together in the future.

"The Administration Department and students should work as a team. We will strengthen library facilities and computer facilities immediately," the minister said. Minister Dissanayake visited all universities and faculties in the Eastern Province during a three-day tour.
