IIFA Awards:

Fine Vision achieves major milestone

Fine Vision achieved a major milestone by being the sole franchise holder of the recently concluded IIFA awards. Wiz Craft, who has worked all over the world with different multinational companies selected Fine Vision as their electronic media supporter at the IIFA awards in Sri Lanka.

Wiz Craft is the owner and franchise holder for all contents of this event and also television broadcasting rights. Fine vision directly worked with Wiz Craft.

This was the first time that a Sri Lankan company has been successful in obtaining such status as the total solution provider and performing all transport services, accommodation and food provision, complete electronic media support by providing equipment and services.

“Fine Vision assisted Wiz Craft with everything. From getting off the plane, taking the equipment and members from the airport to their destination, transport, rooms , hotel accommodation and equipment were taken care of by Fine Vision”, President’s Coordinating Secretary Rohan Welivita said.

Fine Vision has state of the art equipment such as 50 inch LCD monitors, 16 SDI multi camera production system, HD Projectors, Jimmy Jib, Track and Dolly, Stedycam, latest sound and lighting equipments and well experienced crew who have handled IIFA with Indian, German and UK experts. “Wiz Craft used fine vision equipment. Broadcasting equipment was also brought from India and UK. Lighting and sound for IIFA was done by Germans,” he said.

Welivita dispelling rumers that the event was not a success said: “It was a 100 percent success. Sri Lankans don’t know the IIFA policy. Awards are given to those who produced in that year in Indian Films.

Their policy is not to have the awards ceremony in India but outside India. They want to promote the Indian film industry in that country. Because of IIFA we now can invite Indian film makers to shoot films in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan directors can invite Indian actors and actresses for Sri Lankan scenes”, he explained. Welivita said that this is a huge prestige for the country as IIFA was handled by a Sri Lankan company.

He said this was a responsibility given to Sri Lanka and that it is a unique opportunity for the Government and local industry. He spoke of the international experience gained by the crew and Fine Vision staff.

“Today we are proud to announce that our company is in a position to handle any local or international mega events using all the state of the art equipment owned by us. Our performances has been well-recommended by the Wiz Craft (IIFA) and we as a company are having the best pictures of the event on Video and photograph mode.”
