ICASL evening presentation :
Building trust in regulation
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) CPD Committee
will be hosting an evening presentation on “Building trust in
regulation” by KPMG Communication and Regulation Global Head David
Thomas on June 15, at 5.30 pm at the ICASL Auditorium.
Trust is the glue that holds relationships together and is also the
lubricant that keeps things moving in business. Effective regulation
resulting in efficient markets is not only the result of the regulators
performance but also of the quality of interaction between the regulator
and the market’s commercial players. Weaker relationships will often
stifle aspects of market growth and thus building trust in regulation is
fundamental to business.
David Thomas is the KPMG Communication and Regulation Global Head. He
is a Partner of KPMG in the UK and was the former Director at Ofcom.
David’s role involves advising clients on regulatory strategy and
finance across the globe. He is often sought after to speak at and chair
international regulatory conferences and has also produced a number of
thought leadership publications, the most recent of which were “Bringing
Regulation into the Boardroom” and “Building Trust in Regulation.”
The evening presentation is open for members of the ICASL,
regulators, corporate management and industry professionals.
Registration will be on a first come first served basis and admission
is free. |
