South Asian Mobile Content Conference in Colombo

About 25 high-level speakers around the world will share their views and strategic considerations at the South Asian Mobile Content Conference 2010 that will be held at Colombo Taj Samudra Hotel on June 10. The topics at this first ever South Asian Mobile Content Conference 2010 will include Mobile Content Market Trends and Development, Mobile Applications, Enabling Rich Content to Mobile Consumers, Mobile Content Marketing and Revenue Modules in the Mobile Applications. The Chief Guest will be Technology and Research Minister Professor Tissa Vitarana.

The keynote address will be delivered by Finland Mobile Monday founder Jari Tammisto who has much to offer including the fund of experiences from different Mobile Mondays worldwide. Currently Tammisto is also the CEO of Mobile Monday Finland. The origin and expansion of Mobile Monday under the able leadership of Tammisto testifies to the keynote speaker's calibre. Jari Tammisto led a group of Finnish visionaries in inviting the who's who of the Finnish mobile industry to a pub for an informal get-together in the autumn of 2000. The meeting was held. After meeting many new faces and discussing the latest in mobility, the group decided to continue meeting on the first Monday of each month - and thus, Mobile Monday was born.

Towards the end of 2004, Mobile Monday started to spread to other areas of the world and new MoMo chapters were started in Tokyo, Japan, Silicon Valley, UsA as well as Rome and Milan, Italy. Since then, the number of Mobile Monday chapters and members has dramatically increased making Mobile Monday the world's leading mobile community. Mobile Monday International launched its first chapter in Sri Lanka, Mobile Monday on April 23, this year.

A host of other leading players in the mobile technology field will address the conference.
