India’s biggest Broadway show unveiled at IIFA 2010:

Open the gates to the glorious magical mystery that is India. It is a wonderland where a grand past blends with the pulsating new -age technology where you can travel to the expanse of the Indian continent and let all your senses experience her magic. The ultimate, incredible Indian fantasy comes live here at the Kingdom of Dreams as it presents Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince, India’s biggest musical ever.

The tale traces the adventures of a gypsy who is destined to become a prince. It flows along his journey and romantic pursuits.

Magical items like the ‘Indian Talent Circus’ that spans a variety of genres, constantly changing with time, will also be featured along with epic pageantries like the Ram Lila story, a re-enactment of the life of Lord Rama.

Resplendent with extravagantly royal sets, jewellery, masks, rich costumes and decorative head gear, the Krishna Lila, another epic tale which is included in the Broadway is bound to enthrall you. The item is an enchanting love story that depicts a colourful dance drama.

Elaborate sets and costumes celebrates love between Lord Krishna, the Gopis and Radha.

Audiences will also be able to witness a ‘mock marriage’ as it unfolds before their eyes.

The traditional Indian wedding comprises many spellbinding features: henna, zesty sangeet ceremonies, a white horse baraat and street band.

Spectators too can take part by dressing up as the bridal couple and take away a memorable video of their big, fat Indian wedding!India’s culture, heritage, crafts, cuisine and performing arts and many more will be in store for those who witness Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince as it takes to the road and begins showcasing at Nautanki Mahal, the high-technology theatre sprawling across acres of land inn the golden triangle of Agra and Delhi, the Culture Gully, ShowShaa Thetre and IIFA Buzz.

Especially built to showcase plays and musicals the Nautanki Mahal provides a subversive, panoramic, cinematic experience for the audience.

With cutting edge technology and visual effects the production will plunge the audience into a spectacular razzmatazz.

Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince is directed and produced by Wizcraft International Entertainment.

The team unveiled the production at the last day of the Videocon IIFA Weekend which was held in Colombo.

Audiences who witnessed the Micromax IIFA awards 2010 too got a rare chance to to have a preview of one of the items which is included in the Broadway.

* The show boasts of the most popular Bollywood musical of all times which strings together the plot

* Each song is a grand visual treat combined with lyrics by Javed Akthar and choreography by Shiamak Davar

* The soundtrack of the show includes track which are versions and remixes of popular Bollywood songs, redone by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

Six to seven remixes of popular Bollywood songs will also be included in the show as well as an original Zangoora theme.


Laachi

Gauahar Khan is Laachi, a fiery and sexy gypsy girl. She will perform on some of the most foot-tapping numbers of Bollywood, and bring in her sultry sex appeal to the show.


Zangoora

Played by the popular TV star Hussain Kuwajerwala, Zangoora is an endearing gypsy with talent, charm and magic, who discovers his true identity of a prince. The story is the journey of Zangoora making his way to destiny. The show will have Hussain performing on some of the biggest Bollywood songs, showcasing some impressive magic tricks and carrying off some unusual and breathtaking action and aerial sequences.


Sonali

Isha Sharvani takes on the role of beautiful and ethereal Sonali. She will bring her amazing talent as a dancer and aerialist on the show like never before.
