Writer A. Santhan
Aiyathurai Santhan (pronounced Saanthan) is a writer both in English
and Tamil.
His short stories in English had been acclaimed by Lankan and Indian
critics for their subtlety and innovative structure. He writes on
contemporary personal and public issues. He had won several awards
including the English literary award of the Sahitya Mandalaya.

This year he missed the Graetian Award but had to be content with his
work considered for short-listing.
Last month one of his books in English and one in Tamil were launched
in Chennai. He is an author of few books.
