Cops interdicted over ganja case

Two Police sergeants of the Udawalawa police have been interdicted for allegedly promising to let off two suspects transporting ganja in return for a gratification of Rs 50,000.

Investigations revealed that the bribe was taken in return for reducing the quantity of ganja transported by the suspects from 10 kilograms to 50 grams in the police report.

Investigations revealed that the suspect police sergeants had taken away the seized ganja.
