Osu Sala opposite Police HQ robbed

Thieves broke into the Kandy branch of the Osu Sala opposite the Kandy Police Headquarters and escaped with drugs worth Rs 14,000. They have also taken a box containing the cash collection made on behalf of kidney patients.

The Osu Sala branch is a mere 20 metres from the Kandy Police Head quarters.The thieves had entered by breaking open a rear window of the Osu Sala building, investigations have revealed. Police are questioning a security guard on duty at the time of the robbery.

Although police dogs were brought to the scene, no arrest has been made yet.
