Moratuwa University to hold EXMO 2010

The Engineering Faculty of the University of Moratuwa will organize
the EXMO 2010 exhibition to educate the student population and the
public on the latest development in the engineering , IT and several
other fields at the university premises from June 10 – 13 from 9. a.m.
To 7. p.m.
This is a mega exhibition organized by the university after a lapse
of 14 years. According to Dean of the Engineering Faculty, Prof UGA
Puswewala , this exhibition is organized by the Engineering Faculty
jointly with the Faculties of Architecture, Information Technology and
other departments of the university.
Puswewala added that the inaugural day of the exhibition is only open
for the invitees and the personnel in the industrial sector. “The
exhibition is open for the public and students from June 11 to 13 “, he
added.
He said the exhibition is aimed at educating the public on the role,
service and the mission of engineering to the public while making the
schoolchildren aware on the advanced technology. He added that the
exhibits of Engineering faculties in other universities will also be on
display.
The demonstration on the use of latest technological implements
belonging to the Universities laboratories will also take place at this
exhibition.
The Public can witness the new innovations made by the schoolchildren
and the university students at this exhibition. Entertainments and
competitions will also be held at the university premises in parallel to
the exhibition. |
