Strong platform to promote investments

The country could be geared to attract more foreign investments to
position Sri Lanka as an investment hub. The IIFA Global Business Forum
has been a platform to promote foreign investments and has attracted
potential investors and businessmen to the host destination in the past.
This year's forum would bring in a wide range of economic benefits to
Sri Lanka. We look forward to this opportunity where it would boost the
tourism industry as well, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau Director Nimalka
Morahela said.
The business forum will complement and support the existing bilateral
ties between Sri Lanka and India.It is expected to be mutually
beneficial with networking opportunities while showcasing Sri Lanka's
growing investment opportunities in mature and growing industries.
The business forum will convene an elite group of speakers,
representing industry, Government and academia in a candid panel
discussion on the sectors of power, trade, commerce and investment,
cricket, entertainment and examine promising areas of cooperation
between the two countries. Over 300 leading Indian businessmen will
attend the IIFA Global Business Forum which is being held for the 11th
consecutive time, in Colombo on June 4. |
