Two hilarious plays on boards

Veteran thespian Namel Weeramuni shines again. This time as a
director of two hilarious plays Digeka Avith and Kandoskiriyawa.
These are two one act comedies. They will go on the boards at Lionel
Wendt on May 21 at 7 p.m. Digeka Avith is a periodically localized
adaptation of The Proposal, one of the most known plays of Anton Chekov.
The other play, Kandoskiriyawa is written by Somapala Gunadheera, one of
our veteran playwrights.
We are told that both plays are highly entertaining and produce roars
of laughter and are hilariously funny. The performances should be seen
and not missed out, says the director.
Wijeratna Warakagoda, Malini Weeramuni, Daya Tennakoon, Grace
Ariyawimal, Lalith Rajapaksa, Senake Dikkumbura, Anusha Dissanayake,
Anil Wijesinghe and Pabath Manohara are the players is another feature
to be noticed.
