Community tourism gets boost

Six villages chosen under Ministry project:

Six rural villages that have tourist attractions will be developed based on the eco-tourism concept by the Economic Development Ministry’s Tourism Division. The project called the Community Tourism Development Program is expected to promote tourism with less damage to the environment.

SLPA signs agreement with ZPMC China

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) recently signed an agreement with ZPMC of China to purchase essential cranes for operations at the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT). This signed agreement enables the SLPA to purchase three Gantry Cranes and twenty four mobile cranes at a cost of Rs 7200 million.
