Marasinghe’s maiden project drawing crowds

Film importer cum producer Janith Marasinghe’s maiden production Mago Digo Dai (Disorder) had become a crowd puller.

The hilarious move which stars Vijaya Nandasiri, Gamini Susiriwardana, Sanath Gunathilaka, Anarkalli Aakarssha, Anton Jude, Sujani Fernando, Teddy Vidyalankara and others grossed 150 thousand within 20 days at the theatres.

Directed by Lal Priyadeva the film relates the tale of Sergeant C. K. Perera and Constable I. O. Ari who are investigating a case with their police dog, Dai. Another story, a youth named Amila who is pining for his love, also unfolds.

Amila and his friend Malith face a series of comic incidents while trying to win the hand of Amila’s ladylove.

The film also stars film journalists Tennyson Edirisinghe, Ramesh Uvais, Malan Karunaratne and Anura Bandara Rajaguru. Mago Digo Dai is screening at EAP circuit theaters islandwide.
