Keen tussle expected at Bogambara today

Trinity College will take on Kingswood College in the oldest schools
rugby fixtures in the country in their schools under 19 Division I
segment A rugby match to be played at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy
today, kick off is at 4.30 p.m.
This is the oldest schools rugby encounter with the first match
dating back to 1906 but has been not played regularly for various
reasons till it was revived with the centenary year match in 2006 since
then it has been played annually and one of the reasons being it forms
part of the schools under 19 rugby tournament.
Today's clash is going to be a very close one with the Kingswoodians
remaining unbeaten so far having beaten St. Anthony's College 23-10 and
Isipathana College 22-15.
Trinity opened their season with a facile 44-5 win over Dharmaraja
but went down to St. Peter's 31-10 in their next game.
Trinity led by Damith Dissanayake will go all out to make amends and
win this game to stay in contention for the League title this year.
Kingswood led by Rajith Sansoni will strive hard to maintain their
unbeaten record by winning this game which will boost up their morale
for the tougher games to come.
