The five Cuban anti-terrorists unfairly incarcerated in the United
States have thanked people and organizations throughout the world for
their solidarity and support for their cause.
The National Committee To Free the Cuban Five in the US released
Sunday a message it received from Antonio Guerrero, one of the Five, on
May Day including a sonnet he wrote on the occasion for his (Cuban)
people.
“I know that this day is not celebrated the same in every country,
but those of you who defend just causes will be celebrating it with a
call for a better world”, Guerrero wrote in his message.
And on behalf of his other four comrades unfairly and arbitrarily
incarcerated in five separate prisons, as the UN concluded, Guerrero
thanks all those in solidarity for their friendship and support for them
and the Cuban people.
Guerrero, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Rene Gonzalez and
Fernando Gonzalez were sentenced to harsh incarceration in a biassed
trial in Miami 11 years ago. |
