UNP MP Cader votes in favour:

Emergency passed with majority of 118

The motion moved by Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne to extend the Emergency Regulations by another one month was passed with a majority of 118 votes in Parliament yesterday. One hundred thirty two members voted in favour while 14 members voted against the motion.

Kandy District UNP Parliamentarian A.R.M. Abdul Cader voted in favour of the Emergency Regulations.The TNA voted against while the UNP and JVP abstained from voting. (IR and SM)
