US lauds Lankan Government

The US government has praised the Sri Lankan government for its development programs introduced in the country to achieve a rapid development.

US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Patricia Butenis Tuesday told Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne that the United States Government is pleased with the development programs under way by the Sri Lankan Government to achieve a speedy development in the country.

Butenis met Prime Minister Jayaratne at his office.
