Trinity face Nalanda in final

Trinity College Kandy will be hoping to create history and clinch their first ever major title when they take on Nalanda College in the Munchee inter school under 19, Twenty/20 cricket tournament final at the NCC ground in Maitland Place today.

The Trinitians will take the field brimming with confidence after their stunning 29 run victory over the defending champions Royal College in the semifinals a couple of days ago. In the quarter finals they had the better of Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa.

In contrast Nalanda College had a smooth entry into the final where they trounced D. S. Senanayake College by nine wickets in a completely one sided semi final encounter.

Meanwhile Royal College will be looking to salvage some of their pride when they confront D. S. Senanayake College in the third place play off final today at the same venue commencing at 10.00 a.m.
