Handing over of salvaged vehicles

The Government has decided to hand over salvaged vehicles which are being brought from Maththlan, Valayannadam, Mullivaikkal and Puthukkudiyirruppu to the respective owners after scrutinizing the ownership from the vehicle yard maintained by the Kilinochchi District Secretariat, states Kilinochchi District Secretary / Govt Agent Mrs. R. Ketheeswaran in a press release.

She states the Government has decided to hand over 1,000 Nos. of motor bikes firstly. This distribution has been fixed on May 2, 2010. The list of motor bikes to be handed over in the first instance is available in the Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, Mannar and Jaffna District Secretariats.

The owners are requested by me to confirm their ownership before distribution for vehicle. This is possible on April 29, 30 and May 1, 2010.

Vehicle owners are expected to bring the following documents with originals and two sets of photocopies.

1. Vehicle registration book.

2. Revenue licence.

3. Insurance (available).

4. Police entry.

5. National Identity Card.

Confirmation is scheduled to be held at the vehicle yard which has been already formed in the new proposed District Secretariat at Thirunagar.

Vehicle owners who are from Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, Mannar and Jaffna are given priority in this process. Distribution date has been fixed for May 6, 2010."
