IFS signs research agreement with Nature’s Secrets
The Institute of Fundamental Studies (IFS), entered into a research
agreement with Nature’s Beauty Creations (NBC) Ltd., This partnership
will endeavour to create a quantum of technology transfers to Nature’s
Secrets that will help develop a global brand for Sri Lanka. Signing of
the agreement took place at the IFS auditorium at Hantane, Kandy. IFS
Director Prof.C.B.Disanayaka and Nature’s Secrets Chairmen Samantha
Kumarasingha, signed the agreement.

directive of the President, the IFS aims to serve as a catalyst in
promoting Sri Lanka, through scientific research and development to
elevate it to a higher pedestal, said Prof. Dissanayake,
The partnership with Nature’s Secrets will provide IFS with the
necessary financial backing to further research and gathering of data to
develop a knowledge base that will enable Sri Lanka to compete in the
global arena.
Professors C.B. Dissanayake and Ananda Kulasooriya, in expressing
their views on the research agreement, commended Nature’s Secrets on its
initiative to develop local products for the global market, bringing in
foreign exchange to develop the country’s economy, using local
resources. They also pledged the institution’s commitment to help
Nature’s Secrets with its broader objectives by providing technical
expertise and conducting valuable joint research.
Research commissioned by Nature’s Secrets and carried out by IFS will
primarily focus on understanding the natural properties of endemic
herbal plants, which have been used in traditional beauty culture for
over 2500 years. |
