Over 350 Sujatha APS students graduate

The first batch of students of The Academy of Professional Studies (APS), affiliated to Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda, enroled for the Primary Teacher Training in English (PTTE) Course in December 2004.

The APS has enroled 31 batches upto 2010 in PTTE, TELL, ITSS and PSDS. A total of 387 learners have successfully graduated from the APS, out of a total of 874 learners enroled upto date, said India Subcontinent Territory Manager Premila Paulraj.

Paulraj was addressing the launching ceremony of "Edexcel Accredited Teacher Training Diplomas," course held in Colombo recently.

The Teacher Training Diploma Programs offered by APS is registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Educational Commission under the Vocational and Technical Training Ministry.

The Newest Encouragement is the accreditation received from Edexcel International of United Kingdom (UK) for the Teacher Training Diploma Programs offered by APS.

The APS which was established in 1998 to provide quality educational and professional programs to discerning Sri Lankans. Since its inception, the highly reputed and acclaimed APS has been grooming the future generation with Teacher Training Diplomas, Sift Skills together with a sound knowledge of Information and Communication Technology and English to meet the challenges of the ever evolving professional trends in the modern world, said Paulraj.

CEO Person India Vivek Goveil, Maldives, Education Deputy Minister Maldives Dr. Abdulla Nazeer, APS Managing Director Lakshman Kuruppu and Regional Development Manager Sri Lanka and Maldives also participated.

APS is the only Institution that offers Professional Teaching Practice Sessions such as "Teaching in a classroom" in a Government approved private school. "Our courses are conducted by a highly qualified experienced professional staff, with post graduate qualifications from foreign Universities," Paulraj said.

The APS is an accredited centre for Edexcel International of United Kingdom (Person Company) to conduct London Test of English Certificate Courses for children and adults.

The Teacher Training Diploma Programs offers by APS is registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Educational Commission under the Vocational and Technical Training Ministry, she said.

Paulraj emphasised that the APS first of students for Primary Teacher Training in English (PTTE) Course was enroled in December 2004.

APS has enroled 31 batches up to March 2010 in PTTE, TELL, ITSS and PSDS. A total of 383 learners have successfully graduated from the APS, out of a total 874 learners enroled upto date.
