Cadet Corps leave for Bangladesh

A Delegation representing Sri Lanka National Cadet Corps will leave for Bangladesh to take part in Bangladesh Republic Day Celebration and a cadet camp next week.

Annually cadets attend special events of SAARC countries under its youth exchange program. They will stay 10 days in Bangladesh. They are expected to attend various functions arranged by the National Cadet Corps of Bangladesh. The sponsorship for the event was provided the Defence, Public Security, Law and Order Ministry.

The delegation is headed by Lieutenant Colonel WM Dhanapala-Commanding Officer of the 6th Battalion NCC.

The officers and cadets who leave for tour to Bangladesh are:

Lt. Col. WM Dhanapala, Major ASJ de S. Gunaratne, CSUO MYM Fernando, CSUO DMRM Dissanayake, CSUO HRNM Kumari and CSUO KMHMK Egodawatta.
