President at Maritime Archaeological Museum opening :

Bring committed politicians up

Masses should bring to politics people really committed to rebuild the nation in the future, said President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday. The President was speaking at the opening of the maritime archaeological museum established at the Dutch warehouse in the Galle Fort Premises under the Galle Fort Conservation project which was funded by the Netherlands Government.

UPFA certain two thirds majority

All political parties could not form stable and strong governments from 1994 as they could not get an adequate majority in Parliament. The UPFA will get a two thirds majority at the April 8 General election, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said yesterday.
