Kala Mangalyaya - 2010
The Kala Mangalyaya and the Art Exhibition of Sri Chandananda
Buddhist College, Kandy, will be held for the second successive year at
the school's outdoor auditorium from March 3 to 6.
The event is the concept of the College's Principal Dr. Ven. Godagama
Mangala Thera. Consequently the opportunity will pave way for the
skilled and All Island champions of the college to exhibit their
talents.
Ven. Rambukkana Siddartha Thera, The Governor for North Central
Province and well-known artist Karunarathna Divulgane, the Diyawadana
Nilame of Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Daela Bandara, the Vice
Chancellor of the Faculty of Arts Susiripala Malimbada will grace the
occasion.
Degree show
‘Degree Show’ showcases the creations of final year Art
undergraduates of Kelaniya University Visual Arts, Designing and
Performing Art Unit.
The exhibition begins on March 3 at Barefoot Gallery at No.704, Galle
Road, Colombo 3, and will remain open until March 21 on week days from
10 am to 7 pm and during weekends from 12 am to 5 pm. It is organized by
final year special degree students of Visual Art and Designing.
OCIC Cinema and Teledrama Salutation 2008/2009
Arrangements have already been made for the next Cinema and teledrama
saluatations conducted by Signis OCIC Institute.
Directors who have screened their films during 2008 and 2009 and
teledramas completed during the same period can apply. Teledramas should
be limited to 52 episodes and should be submitted in DVD form before
March 31. You can hand over the DVD at Signis, OCIC National Office, No
19, Balcomb Place. Kota Road, Borella, Colombo 8 between 9 a.m. to 4.30
