Over 300 Leptospirosis cases this year

The number of Rat Fever (Leptospirosis)cases reported from Sri Lanka in the last two months of this year is 306. Four deaths were also reported during the same period, Epidemiology Unit Director, Dr. Paba Palihawadana said.

According to Dr. Palihawadana, over 3,500 Rat Fever cases were reported from the country last year while the number of deaths reported was over 120.

Rat fever became one of the main health problems in the country.
