Ban Ki-Moon condemns Darfur attack
UN: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned the attack against
African Union (AU) and UN soldiers in Darfur where seven Pakistani
soldiers were seriously injured.
The attack took place outside Nyala city, in south Darfur, just 1.24
miles from El-Sheriff displaced people camp.
Ban Ki-Moon asked Sudan Government to investigate the facts and to
guarantee prosecution guilties in a report published in UN headquarters
in New York.
Ibrahim Bambari, Chief of AU-UN mission pointed out that the attacks
against contigent members are considered war crimes and assured that
AU-UN will accomplish its mission of peace in Darfur town.
Last December five Rwandese soldiers were killed in the Northern
region of Sudan.
The attacks have caused 300.000 dead people and about three million
displaced.
AU-UN mission was established in 2007, was installed in 2008 and is
formed by 25.000 soldiers, cops, observants and civil personnel.
According to UN official numbers, 19 soldiers and three cops have
been killed so far.
