ICTA staff get US credentials

Seven members of the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) staff have earned the USA based Project Management Institute's reputed global credential - the Project Management Professional (PMP), a senior ICTA spoke sperson said.

This additional professional qualification has contributed much to the efficiency of these personnel managing projects at ICTA that are critical to the ICT Development of the country under the eSri Lanka initiative, ICTA spokesperson emphasised. PMP credential recognises demonstrated knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results.

It also demonstrates that the credential holder possesses a solid foundation of experience and education in project management. This certification program offered by PMI is the first professional certification program of its kind to receive the ISO 9001 certification, a globally recognised mark of a quality management system.
