Moratu Vidyalaya in strong position

Moratu Vidyalaya is in a strong position against St. Mary's College, Kegalle in their inter-school under 19 cricket match worked off at Moratuwa.

Vidyalaians were 240 for 5 in reply to Marians score of 139 runs at the end of day one. Janidu Devinda and Kalhara Peiris were unbeaten on 57 and 80 runs respectively and the pair has put on 130 runs for the sixth wicket.

Earlier Chandima Bandara scored 55 runs for the visitors.

St. Mary's 139 - Chandima Bandara 55, Viraj Jayamanne 24, Sanka Ramesh 3/27, Pushpa Kelum 3/20).
