Artistes thank Voters

All Sri Lankan artistes and sports stars worked hard to elect President Mahinda Rajapaksa once again, actor Senaka Wijesinghe said at a press conference organized by Tharunyata Hetak Youth Organization yesterday.

He further said we participated in the series of advertisements 'Obey Chandayen Maubima Dinawamu' as one group without receiving any personal benefits.

Actor Palitha Silva said that Sri Lanka will be a developed country within the next five years under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. He further thanked all Sri Lankans who voted for a sensitive and well experienced leader.

Instead of giving promises President Rajapaksa have taken various steps to develop the country. Hence he got more votes than at the 2005 Presidential Election, actor Buddhi Wickrama said.

Niroshan Illepperuma, Supriya Abeysekara and Kusum Perera also spoke.
