‘Shipping and international trade’:

FCCISL seminar

The Institute of Shipping & Logistics - would be conducting a free introductory seminar to encourage and motivate young people after O/L’s or A/L’s, and working adults attached to Shipping Agencies, International Trade ( Exports/ Imports ), Logistics and Freight Forwarding companies, manufacturing and allied sectors - to get a glimpse of the mega shipping & international trade industry and the career opportunities it offers, together with the prestigious and multifarious professional qualifications which could be pursued for career advancement.

Admission is by invitation only and interested participants should contact the IOSL to reserve a seat.

The Free seminar will be held at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) auditorium, February 7. This free seminar will coincide with the inauguration on the same day of the Institute’s eighth intake of the “Foundation Diploma in Shipping and International Freight Management”, a five months weekend course, which is approved and recommended by the FCCISL, for young people wishing to enter the shipping, freight or export/import industries and for working adults to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The guest of honour at this seminar would be Federation of Chambers (FCCISL) and formerly the Secretary General of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka, retired Senior Consultant on Economic Affairs Jagath Savanadasa who will deliver the key note address.

The program would be conducted by Gihan Warusavitarne a veteran shipping industry professional and CEO, together with other senior resource persons.
