UN Under-secretary to Yemen meeting in London

Un: The United Nations Under-secretary General for Political Affairs Lynn Pascoe, will lead the delegation of the organization to an international conference on Yemen to be held on Wednesday in London, was announced on Tuesday at the headquarters.

According to the official UN spokesman Martin Nesirky, the meeting will discuss the problems this country is facing and will allow to establish a long-term cooperation with agencies and international partners in economic and social issues.

Yemeni Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, and representatives from over 20 countries will participate at the London meeting, hosted by the British Premier Gordon Brown,. The list includes the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos and senior officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
