Wesley - Rajans game ends in a tie

Wesley College and Dharmaraja College, Kandy figured in a sensational tie in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Campbell Park yesterday.

The Wesleyites who took a good first innings lead of 71 runs went on to declare their second innings at 96 for 1 while leaving their opponents a target of 168 runs.

The Rajans took up the challenge and went about their task before falling short by just one run following some splendid batting from their top order.

Wesley: 250 for 6 decl and 96 for 1 decl (D. Wijesinghe 53, J. Bongso 31 n.o)

St. Peter’s College took first innings honours over Lumbini MV in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match which ended in a draw at the Colts ground in Havelock Park yesterday.

Trinity in 122 run win

Trinity College Kandy trounced Richmond College Galle outright by 127 runs in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match concluded at the Asgiriya Stadium yesterday.
