Opening of handicraft marketing complex
A new handicraft marketing complex comprising 30 trade stalls built
by the National Crafts Council at its Battaramulla premises will be
opened by Rural Industries and Self-Employment Minister S.B. Nawinna on
January 19 at 10.30 am.
The market complex built on the lines of 'Delhi Heart' handicrafts
complex in India on a concept of Minister Nawinna and NCC Chairman
Buddhi Keerthisena was jointly funded by the Ministries of Tourism and
Rural Industries and Self Employment Promotion. The Tourism Ministry
which has launched a publicity campaign in this regard has arranged to
bring prospective foreign buyers to the complex twice weekly, said NCC
Chairman Buddhi Keerthisena. |
