No show by Krishna

A faction of TNA leaders who visited New Delhi to appraise their stand at the forthcoming Presidential Election could not meet Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna.

According to press reports a group of TNA Parliamentarians led by R. Sambandan visited New Delhi three days ago. However, their flight could not land due to climatic conditions and returned to Chennai. When they went back they were able to meet only some officials of the Indian External Affairs Ministry. Minister S.M. Krishna did not meet them and he had already left for Nepal.

Reports say, the Indian officials only listened to TNA Parliamentarians but did not give any comment.

TNA Parliamentarians R. Sambandan, Mavai Senadhirajah and Suresh Premachandran who back the Ex-General at the Presidential Election went to Delhi to appraise their stand. They did not meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanithi.

Meanwhile, a woman Parliamentarian from the Eastern Province said that she was ignorant of the TNA’s talks with the Opposition or any agreement.
