Solar eclipse view from Jaffna

How to view eclipse

Soot applied glass or partially darkened X ray copies, specially designed spectacles, basins of water or projectors should be used for viewing it, the Centre added.

Two camps will be held at the Jaffna University premises and at Arachchikattuwa by the Arthur C Clarke Centre for Modern Technologies for the public to view the annular solar eclipse on January 15, a press release issued by the Centre said. People have been warned against viewing the eclipse through the naked eye.
