Fr Nicholas passes away

Rev Fr. Nicholas Cyril Lukshman Neththasinghe SDB passed away on December 30, 2009. He succumbed to injuries received in a road accident a few days prior to that when he was on his way to Wellapalliya Church, Hendala from Seeduwa.

He was 54 years. He was the fourth child of the Neththasinghe family of Pamunugama. He had his primary education at St.Joseph's school Pamunugama and his secondary education at the Gonzalvez College Pamunugama.

He was ordained as a priest in May 1990 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Wellapalliya, Hendala, where he served for five years.

He was elected the first Vice Province Selesian Order in Sri Lanka. The remains will be laid today at Dankotuwa Don Bosco grounds.
