Point Pedro hospital gets new buildings

The consultants’ quarters and drug stores of the Point Pedro Base Hospital were opened recently by Northern Province Governor G A Chandrasiri and Social Services and Social Welfare Minister Douglas Devananda at the Point Pedro Base Hospital which was constructed under the NECORD Project, funded by ADB at a cost of Rs.53 million.

There are a number of projects currently going on under the Uthuru Vasantaya program of President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the Northern Province.

The Jaffna and Jaffna Kaithadi Ayurvedic hospitals are also being developed with additional facilities. The Health Ministry has taken steps to uplift the health facilities of the Northern people, said Northern Province Governor G A Chandrasiri.
