Earthslips block rail track

Badulla bo-und trains from Colombo will ply only upto the Nanu Oya Station due to the rail track being blocked as a result of an earthslip at Ohiya, the Railway Control Room said yesterday.

The rail track has been blocked at three places beyond Nanu Oya and the removal of debris is being done so that the track would be cleared today.

The Night Mail which left Colombo at 8 p.m. from Colombo on Sunday could not proceed beyond Nanuoya, sources said.
