Skipper Ishan Ibunu's magnificent bowling performance of 6 for 34
guided Zahira College Maradana to a convincing first innings win over
Maris Stella College Negombo in their schools under 19 Division one
cricket match played at Zahira ground on Thursday.
Zahira batted first and put 198 on board and in reply Maris Stella
were 106 all out. In addition to the Zahira skipper, the Sri Lanka under
15 player Irshad Umar too had a great day, picking up three for 34. At
close of play, Zahira were 103 for 3 in their second innings.
