More UNPers back President

The Pallepola Pradesheeya Sabha Chairman (UNP) Vasantha Disanayaka and member of the sabha Vasantha Hettitarachchi with 500 members of the UNP resigned from the UNP and joined the UPFA to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa who liberated the county from terrorism.

They met President Rajapaksa at the President’s House Kandy to get membership of the SLFP and said they resigned from the UNP to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa who liberated the country from terrorism but the UNP had failed to help this.

They said President Rajapaksa was the only national leader who had rescued the country.
