Muslim vote for President - Azwer

Presidential Advisor and former Minister A.H.M. Azwer said, Ranil Wickremesinghe has abdicated his captaincy to one who has never handled a bat or a ball and he is now seen running to the middle with water and a towel in hand to quench the thirst of an untested captain, addressing festival celebration at the conclusion of the Hajj season at the Old Race Course ground.

“There is already discontentment and discord within other players of the UNP team and already attempts are being made to remove this unknown captain from the team, when the match has already started,” he said. Reminding Muslims of the impending disaster faced by the Baithul Muqaddis in Jerusalem by the Zionist Israeli forces, he said this is the first Qibla of Muslims and it is the third Holiest place after Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has very piously and zealously espoused the cause of Palestinian for the last 30 years by forming the Sri Lanka - Palestine Solidarity Association. In contrary Wickremesinghe always took the side of the Zionist - Jews who are the guardians of the Israelis, he said.

“Therefore anyone claiming to be friends of Palestine can never ever support the UNP leader. Muslims are mind full of the fact that Ranil Wicremesinghe himself justified the bombing of Iraq by the colonial powers.

Iraq is a land full of Holy Shrines, Mosques and other places of sanctity - Qarbala and such other places,” Azwer said.
