We will work hard for President’s victory - EP Chief Minister

Eastern Province Chief Minister and TMVP leader S. Chandrakanthan said his party would work hard for the victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. He added that there was no vacillation as reported in certain media.

The Chief Minister said the leadership of the party had decided to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The leadership had also met the President and expressed its support. He said some elements were inclined to create a division between his party and the President. As some media reported there was no vacillation.

The TMVP would fully support and work hard for the President to obtain a majority of votes in the Province, he added.
