We had to struggle to survive in this threatened village in the past. People in villages such as Diyapoththawa and Serunewa spent sleepless nights for fear of LTTE attacks. Some fled these villages.

However, our President had successfully eliminated all these fears and threats, Ven. Thera said.It is under the Jathika Saviya program, we were able to receive electricity to this village, the Ven. Thera added.
