Innovative investors keen on Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is in the top 20 list among the IT giants creating an
environment to invest in IT related businesses where more innovative
investors are keen on, said Ridgecrest Chief Executive Officer Sanath
Fernando.
He was speaking at the launching ceremony of a revolutionary suite of
products for the Sri Lankan market at the Excel World last week.
Sri Lanka is emerging as an IT giant in the region and is growing
rapidly as the IT hub in the Asia. The concept of knowledge economy has
been meaningfully inculcated into the minds of the young generation and
this will create an opportunity for the youth in the country to invest
in innovative business in many spheres, said Fernando.
He said, the declaration of this year as the English and IT year by
the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, enabled even rural people to experience
IT education through the Nenasala program throughout the country.
“This would also enable us to reach to the rural people and to
explain our new products making them aware of the fact that we can do
anything by sitting one place with a computer”, he said.
Ridgecrest embracing the latest technology empowers the people with a
modern concept that ‘IT gives all’ making it more convenient for Sri
Lankans to log on and explore the internet. |
