CCC bounce back to take a first innings lead

Spinner Shohan Boralessa snapped up four wickets for 38 as the CCC after having been dismissed for 164 runs came back strongly to snatch a close first innings lead over Sri Lanka Army Sports Club on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier match which commenced at Panagoda yesterday.

CCC: 164 (M. van Dort 21, J. Mubarak 88, S. Prasanna 5 for 55, R. Palleguruge 4 for 26) and 77 for no loss (M. van Dort 30 n.o, C. Fernando 40 n.o)

Army SC: 147 (P. Tharaka 25, D. Indika 50 n.o, R. Palleguruge 41, C. Vidanapathirana 2 for 42, T. Mendis 2 for 8, S. Boralessa 4 for 38, S. Pathirana 2 for 46)

Saracens get 247

Paceman Kosala Kulasekera and Tharaka Kottahewa shared seven wickets between them as the NCC dismissed their opponents Saracens SC for 247 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier match which commenced at Maitland Place yesterday.

Tamil Union well placed

Tamil Union were well placed to build up a good first innings lead after having bowled out their opponents Bloomfield for 195 runs on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier match which commenced at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Singha SC Ambalangoda were struggling at 84 for 7 in their first innings in reply to Seeduwa Raddoluwa CC’s total of 238 runs on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier match which commenced at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.
