An employee of a private vehicle leasing company was killed and
another injured when a group attacked their vehicle in Ampara on Monday
evening.
Police spokesman SSP I.M. Karunaratna said two employees of Central
Finance Company seized a vehicle after the owner failed to pay the lease
and were brining it back to their branch. “The incident had occurred
when the CFC employees were bringing the vehicle to their branch in
Ampara at around 4.00pm,” he added.
The suspects blocked the vehicle in the Damana area and attacked the
CFC employees and damaged the vehicle.
