Sri Lankan Socerties participating in the SAF Soccer Championship in Bangladesh came out with flying colours on the opening day winning the first game one goal to nil over Pakistan.

The solitary goal in the match which also brought victory for Sri Lanka came through the boot of Chathura Guneratne in the 26th minute of play.

Sri Lanka's Sanayaja Pradeep Kumara and Duminda Hettiarachchi who were shown the yellow card twice will not be permitted to play in the next game. Lankans take on Bhutan tomorrow and on Tuesday confront the hosts Bangladesh which also will be the final game in the group.
