of Yodha Wewa and under the Uthuru Vasanthaya development project, we
are hoping to reconstruct more than 100 tanks in the Northern and
Eastern provinces.
"My Ministry is mainly involved in the areas such as Maha Nuwara,
Matale, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura and Vavuniya which suffered due to the
LTTE terror during past three decades.
The people who live in these areas are today living peacefully and
they are thankful to President Mahinda Rajapaksa who brought peace to
their lives. Therefore, the coming election is a great opportunity for
them to convey their gratitude to President Rajapaksa and his victory in
this election is already ensured by these people," the Minister said.
"Many opposition ministers and supporters have shown their preference
to work for President Rajapaksa during the forthcoming election the
Minister further said.
